Four different ways to make everyone's favourite Instagrammable food, avocado toast
1 slice whole wheat bread
Course ground black pepper
Toast the bread.
Mash the avocado in a small bowl until smooth.
Spread the avocado over the toast.
Season with desired amount of sea salt and pepper.
2 slices thick bacon
1 teaspoon olive oil
Cook bacon until crispy, set aside.
Heat olive oil over medium-high heat and add egg. Cook until egg whites are no longer translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
Layer the bacon slices, followed by the fried egg.
4-6 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
3 basil leaves, chopped
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Combine the cherry tomatoes, basil, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil in a small bowl and toss to coat.
Top with the cherry tomato and basil vinaigrette.
3 strawberries, sliced
2 tablespoon blue cheese crumbles
Layer the avocado with the sliced strawberries.
Top with blue cheese crumbles.
