An elegant Carrot Cake but no forks needed. Make these easy Carrot Cake Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting!
Supplies
Carrot Cake Bars
- 3 carrots, grated
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Frosting
- 1 pack cream cheese
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Steps
Carrot Cake Bars
- In a bowl mix butter, brown sugar, eggs (1 at a time), milk, and vanilla. Set aside.
- In another bowl add flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mix.
- Add dry ingredients into wet
- Ingrediets along with grated carrots and chopped
- Walnuts. Mix into batter.
- Line a baking pan with parchment paper, pour in batter and bake for 18-20 minutes at 350°F. Let cool completely.
Frosting
- In a bowl beat cream cheese, room temperature butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until a frosting forms.
- Frost the cooled cake, cut into bars, enjoy!
