In the Northwest, it can get pretty foggy and cold. So if you're looking for a good defense, make yourself some London Fog.
Supplies
- 1/2 tablespoon Earl Gray Tea
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup milk
Steps
- Fill tea ball with tea
- Add to a kettle and let steep 3-5 minutes
- Meanwhile, heat milk in small sauce pan, not boiling (135-150 Degrees F)
- Remove milk from heat, and whisk until foamy
- Fill mug halfway with tea
- Stir in two tablespoons of the vanilla syrup
- Fill the glass the rest of the way up with hot milk, holding back the foam
- Top with a few spoonfuls of foam to finish

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
- 1 cup water
Steps
- Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan
- Stir until sugar dissolves and bring liquid to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until syrup thickens about 20 minutes
- Let stand until cool
