- Oil to fry
- 2 tablespoons cornmeal
- 11/2 tablespoon flour
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Hot dog, cut and sliced into a 1/2-inch piece
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Mustard, to serve
- Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar and milk, reserving a bit of the flour.
- Put hot dog on the end of toothpick and dip first in cornstarch and then in batter.
- Fry in oil until golden brown. Serve with mustard.
