  • Oil to fry
  • 2 tablespoons cornmeal
  • 11/2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Hot dog, cut and sliced into a 1/2-inch piece
  • Toothpick
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Mustard, to serve

Steps

  1. Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar and milk, reserving a bit of the flour.
  2. Put hot dog on the end of toothpick and dip first in cornstarch and then in batter.
  3. Fry in oil until golden brown. Serve with mustard.
