Benji's Christmas Cocktails

Supplies

  • 1 tablespoon chocolate sauce
  • 2 digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 100ml Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Spiced Gingerbread Irish Cream Liqueur
  • 50ml vodka
  • 2 shots espresso
  • 2 marshmallows
  • Ice cubes, to fill shaker

Steps

  1. Dip the rim of each martini glass in the chocolate sauce to get a thin, even coating. Add the crushed biscuits to a shallow plate and dip the rim on top to make them stick. Set aside.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the gingerbread liqueur, vodka, and espresso. Put the lid on and give it a good shake for about 20 seconds.
  3. Pour into the martini glasses.
  4. Skewer marshmallows and toast under the grill (or use a blowtorch if you have one). Gently place them on top of the foam in the drink. Serve immediately.

Supplies

  • 100ml Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Mandarin Gin Liqueur with Silver Flake
  • 50ml ginger cordial
  • Tonic water, to top
  • 2 mandarins
  • 2 rosemary sprigs, to garnish

Steps

  1. Fill two tumblers with ice.
  2. Pour over the mandarin gin and ginger cordial. Give it a stir before topping it up with tonic water.
  3. Slice one mandarin and add a few slices to each glass.
  4. To make the garnish, use a potato peeler to peel the other mandarin zest in one long swirl. Use a sharp knife to cut two long thin strips. Twirl each strip firmly around a straw or wooden spoon handle. Let it sit for 5 mins before carefully removing from the straw and placing it on the rim of the glass. Add in a sprig of rosemary and serve.
