• Makes 1 breakfast burger
  • 2 cumberland sausages
  • 2 sprinkle of sage leaves picked and finely chopped
  • 2 rashers smoked streaky bacon
  • 1 egg
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 english muffin
  • 1 vine tomato, sliced
  • French mustard
  • Ketchup

  1. Tart by taking the sausage meat out of its casing, season and add the sage. Mix well. Shape into a burger size patty place. Place a large pan on a medium to high heat with a tablespoon of vegetable oil. When the oil is hot, add the patty. Cook for 5 minutes, until golden on one side, flip and then add the bacon to the pan.
  2. When the bacon is cooked on one side, add the egg. Meanwhile toast the english muffin, butter if you wish. Once the patty is cooked through, start stacking the muffin. Layer on the sliced tomato, followed by the sausage patty, crispy fried egg and sauces of your choice. Finish with the muffin top.
