Supplies
- 5 egg yolks
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup mascarpone
- 2 cups double cream
- 2 cups strong coffee
- 1 cup kahlua
- 24 u lady fingers
- cocoa powder for garnish
Steps
- Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
- Add mascarpone to the egg yolk mixture and mix until smooth.
- Whip double cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- Make a strong cup of coffee and let it cool. Add Kahlua and mix.
- Dip ladyfingers into the coffee-Kahlua mixture.
- Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in a serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat the layers with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream mixture.
- Chill for 2 hours
- Before serving, sift cocoa powder over the top for garnish.
- Slice and serve chilled.
