• 5 egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone
  • 2 cups double cream
  • 2 cups strong coffee
  • 1 cup kahlua
  • 24 u lady fingers
  • cocoa powder for garnish


  1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
  2. Add mascarpone to the egg yolk mixture and mix until smooth.
  3. Whip double cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  5. Make a strong cup of coffee and let it cool. Add Kahlua and mix.
  6. Dip ladyfingers into the coffee-Kahlua mixture.
  7. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in a serving dish.
  8. Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
  9. Repeat the layers with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream mixture.
  10. Chill for 2 hours
  11. Before serving, sift cocoa powder over the top for garnish.
  12. Slice and serve chilled.
