  • 100 grams Plain Flour
  • 28 grams Cocoa Powder
  • 130 grams Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • Pinch Salt
  • 90 grams Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Egg
  • 90 milliliters Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Vinegar
  • 40 milliliters Vegetable Oil
  • Glaze
  • 95 grams Icing Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, Melted
  • 1-2 tablespoons Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Sprinkles

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 175C/350F and grease the donut pan lightly with butter.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, chocolate chips and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the oil, milk, egg, vinegar, vanilla and whisk to thoroughly combine.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix to combine.
  5. Fill the donut pan 3/4 full and bake for 13m or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For the glaze: whisk together icing sugar, melted butter, vanilla and salt then stir in 1-2 tablespoons of milk, adding additional milk 1 teaspoon at a time until you get a glaze consistency.
  7. Add food colouring a small amount at a time until you reach the desired colour.
  8. If the glaze starts to set, heat it up briefly in the microwave.
