Ice + Fire Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • For the cupcakes:

  • 300g softened butter

  • 300g sugar

  • 1/2tsp salt

  • 6 eggs

  • 2tbsp vanilla essence

  • 300g self-raising flour

  • Red food colouring

  • Blue food colouring

  • For the frosting:

  • 7 egg whites

  • 350g sugar

  • 1/2tsp salt

  • 1tsp vanilla essence

  • 455g softened butter

  • 1tsp tabasco

  • 1tsp mint essence

  • Red food colouring

  • Blue food colouring

  • To decorate:

  • Mint candies, crushed

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter with the sugar until it is creamy, about 5 minutes.

  2. Add the eggs one at a time. Add vanilla extract.

  3. Add the flour and fold it in gently. Divide the mixture in two and dye one red and one blue.

  4. Pour batter into a lined cupcake pan.

  5. Bake for 25 minutes at 180ºC

  6. For the frosting, beat the whites with the sugar in a bain-marie until the sugar dissolves.

  7. Remove from heat and continue beating until stiff and glossy.

  8. Add softened butter a little at a time. Add the salt and the vanilla and beat until everything is mixed.

  9. Divide the frosting into two and dye one half blue and the other red.

  10. Crush the mint candies.

  11. Decorate the cupcakes with the frosting, the crushed candies and swords.

Ingredients

  • 160g honey

  • 120g sugar

  • 50ml water

  • 1 egg

  • 10g bicarbonate of soda

  • 50ml milk

  • 450g flour

  • 10g cinnamon

  • 1tsp mixed spice

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan heat the honey, sugar and water until it boils. Let cool.

  2. Dissolve the baking soda in the milk.

  3. Mix flour, spices and cinnamon and make a well. Add the egg, honey mixture and milk to the well.

  4. Mix all the ingredients to form a sticky dough. Wrap in film and chill for 2 hours.

  5. Roll the dough on a floured counter. Cut the wolf shapes with a knife and place on a greased plate.

  6. Bake at 170ºC for 10 to 12 minutes.

Dragon Eggs

Ingredients

  • 400g bittersweet chocolate, chopped

  • 400ml double cream

  • 2 cups sliced ​​almonds

  • 1 cup green icing

  • 1 cup red icing

  • 1 cup white icing

  • Gold edible glitter

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan heat the double cream until it boils.

  2. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. Let stand 2 minutes and mix.

  3. Chill for 2 hours.

  4. Shape the dragon eggs with your hands.

  5. Place the almonds on the eggs in a scale pattern.

  6. Place the eggs on a rack and cover them with the coloured glaze.

  7. Wait for them to dry and paint them with a brush with glitter.

Valyrian Fire Drink

Ingredients

  • 30ml vodka

  • 15ml rum

  • 30ml mint liqueur

Instructions

  1. Pour vodka, rum and mint liqueur into a glass

  • 100ml tonic water

  • 30ml Blue Curacao

  • 15ml white chocolate liqueur

Instructions
