Supplies

  • 440g pizza dough
  • 3-4 jalapeños
  • 6 bacon rashers
  • 120g grated mozzarella
  • ¾ cup cream cheese
  • 1 medium egg, beaten

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 190c. Lightly butter a 20cm round baking dish or cast iron skillet.
  2. Cook the bacon rashers in a frying pan, or under the grill until golden and crisp. Set aside to cool slightly, then chop into small pieces.
  3. De-seed the jalapenos then chop finely.
  4. Lightly flour your work surface then divide your pizza dough into 12 equal sized balls. Roll out each ball into a circle until approx 3mm thick.
  5. Divide the jalapenos, bacon and cheese into 12 equal portions and place in the middle of each circle.
  6. Wrap the dough around the filling, ensuring there are no gaps, then repeat with the remaining balls.
  7. Place, seam side down, in the prepared baking dish, brush with the beaten egg, and bake for 15-20 minutes.
