'Londirian' Fried Quail
Not sure how to cook a quail? Deep fry it with heaps of herbs and spices for a cool twist on your classic fried chicken dish!
Supplies
- 4 quail
- 100g gari
- 2 tsp chicken seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 100g plain flour
- 3 eggs beaten
Steps
- Season quail with salt and pepper.
- Mix gari with all the seasonings, taste to make sure its not too salty.
- Dip quail in beaten eggs then gari crumb coat generously, leave to sit for a 5-10mins while oil heats up.
- Deep fry for 8-10 mins at 160C, probe after 8 mins to check meat it cooked through if not leave for 4-5 mins.
