Tornado Chicken

Now here’s a tornado we can’t get enough of.

Supplies

  • 2 large baking potatoes
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 200g dried breadcrumbs
  • 50g parmesan, finely grated
  • 2 tsp oregano

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan. Put the potato on a skewer and tornado a spiral all around it using a sharp knife. Make sure you cut right through to the skewer. Carefully separate the spiral and spread out the potato along the skewer. Cut the chicken breast into long thin strips. Wrap the strips around the skewer, in the gaps between the potato spiral.
  2. Mix the together the breadcrumbs, parmesan and oregano. Brush the potato and chicken tornado with melted butter, then sprinkle the breadcrumb mix all over. Put the skewer onto a lightly oiled baking tray and bake for 1 hour, turning once or twice through cooking. Serve immediately, with a side salad.
